Privacy policy

Effective Date: August 2025

At Mindset Art Collective (“MAC,” “we,” “us”), we believe art should be shared — not your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It’s written to be as human as the people we serve — with the seriousness privacy deserves, and the clarity we think you should expect.

If you have any questions about this policy, reach us through our contact form, or email:
privacy[at]mindsetartcollective[dot]com (replace [at] with @ and [dot] with .).

1. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of:

  • Our website (mindsetartcollective.com),

  • Any forms, surveys, or newsletters we operate,

  • Other services offered through our digital platform.

It does not cover third-party platforms you may access through our site (e.g., Stripe, Mailchimp, or embedded media players). Their policies apply separately.

2. What We Collect (And Why)

We only collect the essentials — and only when you choose to give them to us.

Personal Data You Provide

TypePurposeEmail addressTo send newsletters or respond to messagesName (optional)To personalize communicationResponses to forms/surveysTo better understand your needs and preferences

We collect this data via:

  • Forms hosted on Squarespace and Tally.so,

  • Newsletter signups,

  • Contact messages or submissions.

Basic Technical Data

When you visit the site, Squarespace may collect:

  • IP address, browser/device type,

  • Site activity (e.g., pages visited),

  • Cookie preferences (if you interact with banners).

We use this aggregated, anonymized information to understand traffic and improve the site — not to track or profile you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only for:

  • Providing the Services you request (e.g., sending you MAC updates),

  • Improving your experience on our website,

  • Responding to your inquiries or support needs,

  • Complying with legal obligations or protecting our rights.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Period.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you’re in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we process your data based on one or more of the following:

  • Consent – when you sign up for newsletters or submit forms.

  • Contract – to provide the Services you requested.

  • Legitimate interests – such as improving our website or maintaining platform security.

You can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use Squarespace’s built-in cookies and analytics to understand general traffic patterns (like which pages get the most love).

We don’t use invasive tracking tools, retargeting ads, or third-party profiling scripts. If you see a cookie banner, it’s there to help you choose what gets stored on your browser — and we respect that choice.

6. Sharing & Third Parties

We keep sharing to a minimum and only work with services that uphold strong privacy standards.

We may share data with:

  • Squarespace (our website host)

  • Tally.so (form processing)

  • Email providers (e.g., Mailchimp or similar, for sending newsletters)

  • Legal authorities, if we’re ever legally compelled to do so

These providers are only allowed to process your data to help us operate MAC — not for their own use.

7. Data Storage & Retention

We retain your data only as long as needed to provide our Services, or as required by law.

For example:

  • Email newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe.

  • Contact form submissions may be kept for up to 12 months for reference.

  • Aggregated analytics data may be stored longer for trend analysis.

If you request deletion, we’ll do our best to erase your data promptly — but please note that some information may remain in Squarespace’s backups or be retained as required for legal or technical reasons.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access or correct your data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Request that we stop using your data (object to processing)

  • File a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise your rights, just reach out via our contact form or email:
privacy[at]mindsetartcollective[dot]com

We aim to respond within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

MAC is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover we have, we’ll delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the Effective Date at the top and post the new version here.

If the changes are material, we’ll also let you know via email or a prominent notice on the site.

11. Questions? Let’s Talk

Privacy shouldn’t be confusing — and we’re here if you have questions.
